Just a few minutes from Hôtel de Sers, Hôtel Vernet is home to one of the neighbourhood’s most beautiful interiors. Beneath a spectacular Eiffel style glass roof, light glides across the tables, transforming afternoon tea into a truly architectural interlude.

Tea time pairs a hot drink or iced tea with a pastry selected from the creations of the moment. The address is equally suited to a quiet moment for two or a more informal business meeting, in a refined atmosphere that encourages conversation to continue.

The experience is available every day from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm. Reservations are recommended, particularly towards the end of the week, when the Golden Triangle becomes especially lively.

 

DISCOVER EXCEPTIONAL TEAS
at Mariage Frères Étoile

For those who choose their tea before anything else, Mariage Frères remains an essential address. Just a short drive from the hotel, the tearoom at 260 rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré reveals an impressive collection of teas, including spring Darjeeling, exceptional green teas, delicate white teas and fragrant blends.

Rows of signature black tea canisters, the aromas of infused leaves and the ritual of the service give the space the atmosphere of a cabinet of curiosities. More than a simple afternoon treat, the tasting becomes an introduction to the richness of different origins and aromas.

The tearoom welcomes visitors from Monday to Saturday, from noon until 7 pm.

Our advice: describe your preferences to the team rather than choosing at random. Floral, woody, fresh, comforting or delicately smoky, there is an infusion to suit every mood.

 

REDISCOVER CLASSIC PARIS
at Carette

Facing the Trocadéro, Carette cultivates the image of timeless Paris. Decorated by Hubert de Givenchy, nephew of Monsieur de Givenchy, the tearoom reveals an elegant Art Deco inspiration, with pink marble tables, gilded mouldings, chandeliers, columns and large mirrors evoking the refined atmosphere of the 1930s.

Guests come to share a hot chocolate, a few macarons or one of the house pastries while watching the lively scene unfold across the square. Opened in 1927, this historic tearoom retains a familiar elegance that is equally appealing for families and afternoons with friends.

For a more peaceful experience, visit in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday. After tea time, a short walk leads to the Trocadéro esplanade, where the Eiffel Tower can be admired in the soft light of the late afternoon.

 

 

ENJOY AN AFTERNOON TREAT
at Angelina Rivoli

Some addresses belong to the Parisian imagination. Beneath the arcades of rue de Rivoli, Angelina welcomes guests into a Belle Époque interior where mirrors, mouldings and golden light create an almost theatrical setting.

The tearoom at 226 rue de Rivoli is open every day. It is perfectly placed for a pause after visiting the Louvre, strolling through the Tuileries Garden or exploring the area around Place Vendôme. As the address is particularly popular, arriving early in the afternoon offers a better chance to enjoy the gentle atmosphere of a traditional Parisian tearoom.

 

DISCOVER THE SECRET GARDEN
at Bontemps

In the Haut Marais, Bontemps offers a more intimate interpretation of Parisian tea time. Hidden behind the pâtisserie on rue de Bretagne is a delicately arranged garden, with vintage furniture, floral tableware and the welcoming atmosphere of a family home.

The house’s signature shortbread biscuits are served alongside seasonal tarts, delicate cakes and a particularly indulgent lemon cake. Here, time seems to slow naturally, far from the movement of the city’s grand avenues.

Le Jardin Secret welcomes visitors from Wednesday to Saturday until 6.30 pm and on Sunday until 6 pm. Reservations are recommended, especially at weekends. It is an ideal address for tea time with friends, a special moment between mother and daughter, or a romantic pause before continuing towards the Marché des Enfants Rouges and the galleries of the Marais.
